4A Hydrophilic Guide Wire

SKU: 4A-RA-0005

The Hydrophilic Guide Wire is a fully polymer-jacketed interventional wire designed for low-friction navigation through highly tortuous, obstructed, or strictured anatomical pathways. Activated upon hydration with sterile saline, its durable hydrophilic coating creates an ultra-slick surface layer that dramatically reduces surface friction. Combined with a superelastic Nitinol core, it easily navigates difficult ureteral, vascular, and biliary pathways where standard wires meet resistance.

Key Benefits

  • Ultra-Low Surface Friction: Fully hydrated polymer layer enables smooth passage across severe strictures.
  • 1:1 Torque Transmission: Superelastic Nitinol core transfers rotation directly to the tip for accurate steering.
  • Kink-Free Shape Memory: Resists permanent deformation even when coiled within tight anatomical cavities.
  • Atraumatic Rounded Tip: Soft flexible tip prevents tissue dissection and mucosal perforation.
  • Full Length Radio-Opacity: Polyurethane jacket containing polyurethane/barium sulfate ensures complete fluoroscopic visibility.
